Organic, unrefined oils and fats like extra virgin olive oil and jojoba oil paired with grass-fed tallow provide nutritive moisturization.
A blend of whole plant infused lavender, chamomile and calendula are grown and dried in house before settling into our special oil infusion method for maximum potency. You can tell this luxurious butter is made with love and intention. The rich earthy golden color of this body butter comes only from the potent herbal infusion and a touch of beeswax.
Our calendula and chamomile is grown organically on our land along the Sandy River in Gresham, Oregon. Our lavender was lovingly harvested from our friends in Sandy, Oregon and the oat tops were grown and dried by the renowned herb farm in Southern Oregon, Oshala Farms.
Herbal Benefits
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) calms and soothes sensitive, reactive, dry, troubled or blemished skin while minimizing the appearance of imperfections and scars. Also great for ridding the skin of any itchiness.
German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) contains high levels of chamazulene and bisabolol and can help alleviate redness while soothing and promoting tranquility.
Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is rich with carotenoids, flavonoids and linoliec acid. It is an herbalist favorite for healing dry, chapped or impure skin.
Oat tops (Avena sativa) contain beta-glucans, which form a protective layer on the skin, aiding in moisture retention and supporting the skin's natural barrier function, ultimately promoting healthier, more resilient skin.
Vanilla bean (Vanilla planifolia) has topical benefits too! Not only does it smell delectably sweet, it includes polyphenols with powerful antioxidant properties.
Scent Profile
LANGUID is free from essential oils so its delicate scent is all thanks to the garden fresh herbs themselves. Floral lavender is a top note, followed by the herbaceous aroma of calendula and chamomile, ending in sweet vanilla.
