Make your own elderberry syrup from this kit filled with organic ingredients! All you need to add is water and honey.
Elderberries are a potent antiviral and a wonderful plant ally to use during the cold and flu season. To learn more about elderberry syrup, check out our blog post. Cinnamon has been shown to reduce the length of colds and flus, especially when consumed in combination with honey. Ginger increases the body's circulation and helps alleviate symptoms associated with colds and flus. Cloves have antiviral properties and also help with symptoms like congestion.
Directions: Add contents of bag to a large pot, and fill with 4 cups of cold water. Bring water to a gentle boil on the stovetop, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-40 minutes, or until the liquid is reduced by half. Strain the liquid into a glass jar, and add 1 cup of raw, local honey. Label your jar, and keep in the refrigerator for up to two months.
Take one tablespoon daily to support the immune system, or take one tablespoon every few hours when fighting colds, coughs, and flus.
