Arrowroot is drying and helps draw out venom from bug bites. Kaolin clay and yarrow are styptics, stopping the flow of bleeding and helping the blood to clot. Oregon grape is antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal when used topically, and can be ingested as a precaution if something like dirty water is unintentionally consumed. Plantain, calendula, and chamomile all reduce inflammation, speed healing, and sooth irritation. Myrrh resin is astringent and can fight infection. Frankincense also supports wound healing, while acting as a bug repellant. All together, this powdered blend is safe to use for total body care and offers an array of wilderness first aid applications in a pinch.
